Silence of the Lambs
Tuesday, August 31, 2010Now I know that is has been FOREVER.. or what seems like it since my last post. We have been in Quebec for 3 weeks now!!! Some times it went by quite quickly and other times it was a little bit slow. I am so glad that we have had the last 3 weeks to be able to explore and get to know our new city.
I have been waiting to post because I wanted to show everyone our finished apartment! However there are just so many other things and pictures with them that have happened... So I will go through a little bit of a picture montage of our last 3 weeks :-)
Then we went to a place called ile d'Orleans. Its a island in the middle of the St. Lawrence 33km long and 8 km wide. |
We rented bikes for a couple hours and biked around one side of the island. |
After our adventure on the island they came over to our apartment and were our first guests! |
This is a canon ball in a tree... |
The Notre Dame in old Quebec. |
Inside the Notre Dame |
Annica and Andrew (A couple that we met at the engagement workshop we did before we got married) Were taking their honeymoon in Quebec city. So we arranged to hang out with them for a evening. |
We met up with them and proceeded to go and check out the Chateau Frontenac. |
We went for a beautiful dinner! |
Then to the image mill. They project the history of Quebec on these HUGE grain silo's. With music and everything. |
Then last weekend we went back to Ontario for a surprise wedding (Pics not available yet) But Justin was sharing at Hawkesville Mennonite so we got to hear him. |
And it was Murrys (Nicks Dad) 52 birthday! So it was a awesome weekend to be home and hang out with family and friends. |
This picture is for Aunt Mel! We have got a clear tea pot and can now enjoy flowering tea! |
This lamb was funny... Nick said it looks like the lamb they used to have? (is that correct Charity?) |
Silence of the Lambs! Enough said. |
Then the best event yet at the carnival! They had a Sand castle competition. I have always seen pictures but it was so awesome to be able to see them in person. This one was my favorite |
Nick "That is the coolest sand castle EVER" |
The entire middle section was all Alice in Wonderland... it was very very awesome. |
As you can see I have lots of things to share!
We start tutoring today! So I will post some more pics of our finished apartment and talk about what we are doing in our french schooling! Love you alll!!!

ReplyDeleteso nice!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you got to go to that fireworks competition and all those other great events! somehow we must not have found out about them or perhaps we werent there at the right time. Sounds like you guys are having a fantastic time. I reckon Josh and i will have to go back some day to spend time there again sans enfants (and sans bebe in utero!). One of the best times i've had in the last 10 years! mind you, living on a tropical island aint half bad either. heehee.
