Merry Christmas and happy new year. We had a wonderful time traveling around the country visiting all of our friends and family! I am sorry that we didn't get to see everyone that we wanted to. We started off  by staying in Quebec city for a couple days and finishing off all of our Christmas shopping and then making sure everything would fit into our suit cases. We then drove to Toronto and stayed with a awesome friend, Nick. We also went up the CN tower which was awesome! We flew out the next morning and got to spend some time with the VanBooms and their wonderful children.

We spent a couple days at my sisters house visiting lots of friends and spoke at once church in Edmonton. Then we had a Christmas/Chinese take out dinner with my moms extended family! They all drove to Edmonton so we could so something with them it was so awesome to have everyone there! Then we drove to Athabasca, to the farm! We did some chores, tobogganed, went snowmobiling and even played pond hockey on a pond. It was a awesome Canadian Christmas! Of course there was lots of food!

We then flew out and made our way to Ontario to visit Nick's family and friends! We were there for about 10 days had a late Christmas dinner in London and had some amazing visits with friends that we miss dearly! We are so thankful for all of the amazing support from family and friends as we continue on our way to Africa! We did some official things like dentist appointments and a visit at the MAF office.

We were able to talk about what our plan is for the next couple months and when it looks like we will be leaving. We still do not while city we will be going to in the Congo but hopefully we will be able to find that out soon. We will be here in Quebec city until June 30th 2011 and then will come through Ontario to say goodbye to our friends and Family and will do the same thing in Alberta. Then Nick has a month of standardization in Boise Idaho, and we will hopefully be leaving for Africa right from there. Now we are back in Quebec city and getting ready to start tutoring again tomorrow with a renewed strength to learn French! Hope you are all doing well!

  1. I'm so glad you had a good time, but I have to say I'm heartbroken that the tiger won. I'm going to lose sleep over it! :)

Support our Ministry with MAF

Managers / Pilots / Mechanics / Administrators are needed on the field. As a pilot and advisor, Nick plays a very important role of flying and advising on operations in the WDRC program. DRC is one of the most difficult places to do 'business' there are as many or more difficulties going into the office then flying over the jungles of Congo. However difficult his job is a necessary one; there are numerous isolated places and people in Congo that need MAF to be here.

The only way that we can continue to do the work that Gad has laid before us in Congo is by your generous donations.

We are aware that some partner with us for only a season which leaves an opportunity for others to come along side our ministry; because of that we are always looking those who will partner with us in our ministry with MAF to be able to keep our fundraising goal at 100%. Would you prayerfully ask God if He is prompting you to be a part of our ministry?
