The day we have all been waiting for...

Friday, September 23, 2011

Well everyone we are almost packed up and ready to go. I don't know if I will have a change to put a post up before we get to Africa so I just wanted to let you all know that tomorrow our official travel to the Congo will begin, and we will get there Sunday evening.

This has been a long time coming, we were just talking about that we have officially been with MAF for 2 years and we are so excited to be in the Congo. Most people do their language training in country so our time at home has been a little longer then usual. But I know that everyone is also excited to see us go... it seems like we have been talking about it for so long, I'm still not to sure its quite real that this Sunday we will be in our little 2 bedroom apartment in the middle of Kinshasa, DR Congo.

We have had so many people encouraging us over the last couple days, letting us know how much they love us from the family that is with us and even with the passing of Nicks mentor Laurence Frey, just a couple of days ago, we felt much love from him, as many people have told us how much Nick meant to Laurence, and Nick thinking about how much Laurence meant to him. He was quite the amazing man and we are so excited for him to be in the presence of the Lord know, he lived such a wonderful life and touched many lives for the glory of God. We hope one to to have the impact that he had on people around him.

Now it is our turn to continue on with this Adventure that the Lord has blessed us with, to also touch lives as Nicks mentor did for many years, as he touched our lives it is only fair that we touch others hearts in the same manner. So my friends, please pray for us, and we thank the Lord Daily for all of you our friends and family! Be blessed! Smile! God is so Good. I am so excited one day to join Laurence eternally in the presence of our Savior! How his graces overwhelms me. Even to be a part of his glorious plan.  So do not forget to thank him... thank him... thank him... How could we not.

Romans 1:20

New Living Translation (NLT)
20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Support our Ministry with MAF

Managers / Pilots / Mechanics / Administrators are needed on the field. As a pilot and advisor, Nick plays a very important role of flying and advising on operations in the WDRC program. DRC is one of the most difficult places to do 'business' there are as many or more difficulties going into the office then flying over the jungles of Congo. However difficult his job is a necessary one; there are numerous isolated places and people in Congo that need MAF to be here.

The only way that we can continue to do the work that Gad has laid before us in Congo is by your generous donations.

We are aware that some partner with us for only a season which leaves an opportunity for others to come along side our ministry; because of that we are always looking those who will partner with us in our ministry with MAF to be able to keep our fundraising goal at 100%. Would you prayerfully ask God if He is prompting you to be a part of our ministry?
