Moving forward in time as promised. Here is a video highlighting our life from June 6 - Aug 19th 2018. After I finished the last video I was able to convince Nick to take some videos while he was flying so that everyone can see both what Nick does and what I see each day. Nick had a lot of days in the office and he wasn't good at taking videos around the hanger, but we do get to see more flight videos from him. In the video there are some great clips of Nicks flights, some of the highlights are...
June 7: Nick was in Ntondo to check out airstrip for an Ebola outbreak near Mbandaka
June 22: flights delivering vaccines in cooperation with the United Swedish Church
June 25: Flying people and cargo out to the quarantine facilities near Mbandaka
June 28: Trip in the PC-12 to Goma for a medical NGO
July 4: Flight to Ksonga Lunda bringing out some Swedish missionaries that installed a gravity well
July 20 and 24: Everyone working hard in the hanger replacing the engine in the 206
July 26: Northern Congo Hospital visits with an NGO
In between those flight clips we see clips of life around the home including our time celebrating the Pederson family for their service with MAF as after 25 years in Congo. They felt God moving them on back to the USA.We also see Ruths first 2 teeth lost, lots of kittens, the end of the school year for the kids (Ruth finished Kindergarten and Pascal M2 in June of 2018) and other fun clips at home and with friends. The MAF ladies had a ladies conference for the first time which Jaclyn put together which was a good time at the end of June. Jonathan de Jongh had his first solo, you see his getting dumped with water. We had interns Josh and Skyla Brumley come to Kinshasa for a few weeks, we enjoyed having them stay with us as well as the help they were around the program.
