new year, new baby; nouvelle année, nouveau bébé

Hello, (français en bas)

Nick playing soccer in the Stad!

Yup, for those who haven't heard we are starting off this year expecting!  We discovered God had blessed us with a child just before Christmas and after confirming with a doctors appointment we broke the news to our family on new years eve.  Jocelyn is doing well and we continue monthly appointments with a wonderful doctor here in Congo.  The due date is June 30 and we plan on having the baby in Canada!

Serenity and Ninja hanging out!
After the holidays we've gotten back into the full swing of work, school, church, youth group, etc.  Jocelyn has decided to change Universities to continue her psychology degree due to logistical details with the former school.  She continues now, one course at a time with Grand Canyon University and hopes to handle the lighter course load throughout pregnancy and infancy :)

Interesting flights for me in the last month have included: flying monkey researchers to the jungle and back (people researching monkey's, not the other way round :), bringing sick mothers/children to receive care in the city, delivering bibles and missionaries to there jungle posts, and more!  MAF's link and networking capabilities continues to astound me as we meet more people and organisations here.

God continues to open doors for us and we are eager to explore what He has in store.  Lately this has been things like: soccer in the national stadium, preaching in french and english churches, visiting a botanical gardens, venturing through underground caves, getting our youth to hang out with a local Congolese church, and much more!!!  Check out the blog and facebook for more info on these and other adventures!!

Keep the faith, and may the faith keep you...

Salut,

Yup its real!

In the caves... the darkness makes you a little crazy o_O

Support our Ministry with MAF

Managers / Pilots / Mechanics / Administrators are needed on the field. As a pilot and advisor, Nick plays a very important role of flying and advising on operations in the WDRC program. DRC is one of the most difficult places to do 'business' there are as many or more difficulties going into the office then flying over the jungles of Congo. However difficult his job is a necessary one; there are numerous isolated places and people in Congo that need MAF to be here.

The only way that we can continue to do the work that Gad has laid before us in Congo is by your generous donations.

We are aware that some partner with us for only a season which leaves an opportunity for others to come along side our ministry; because of that we are always looking those who will partner with us in our ministry with MAF to be able to keep our fundraising goal at 100%. Would you prayerfully ask God if He is prompting you to be a part of our ministry?
